Here we have a perfect example of how a very good product can be considered bad by the people who create negative reviews without knowing what they are talking about.
Anyone who has done enough graphics design (I do it for a living) knows that the quality of the output can be as much as a factor of software and a computer with a printer. I have had nothing but excellent results from this printer with a clean, crisp, life like images.
Many applications such as Photoshop create projects based on RGB screen output which is why photos, etc. look great on the LCD screen but not so good when printed (That needs to be converted to CMYK).
Check whatever software you use to see how it handles this task or get software that will automatically do this for you. Try it and I’ll take a bet that the results will be improved. Also, if you use a non inkjet paper inkjet printer and then complain about the poor photo quality, well duh.
Finally, given the very affordable cost of this printer, it’s a bit dishonest to complain too much about the quality of the output. You want to be better? Spend for it. On the other hand, if you only need a printer / scanner for light duty use, like me, this product is not all that competent.
